Is the book custom?

Yes. Every Brutally Honest Guide™ is custom. Our system identifies the exact questions your clients are already searching for answers to, then we combine that research with your expertise through a structured interview. The result: a 30-chapter book that’s yours alone — not a recycled template, not generic filler, but a true conversation-starting asset.

How fast can we launch?

Typically 4–6 weeks after your interview and approvals. That includes research, writing, editing, design, and funnel setup. Ghostwriters and traditional publishing often drag on for months or years; we deliver a marketing-ready book in weeks.

What happens if I cancel or don't renew?

If you cancel, we’ll deactivate your Brutally Honest Guide™ — the Amazon listing, hosted site, and email — and your license to use the Brutal Guides™ branding ends. But you still keep all the core assets: your manuscript, your leads, and any content we created for you. You’re free to reuse your words anywhere, even in a new book, as long as it doesn’t use Brutal Guides™ or Brutally Honest Guide™ branding or design. If you ever want to come back, you can re-activate or switch tiers without starting from scratch.

Can I upgrade or downgrade later?

Yes. You can switch between Asset, Engine, and Amplify anytime. Upgrades come with a pro-rata credit from your current plan. Downgrades are simple too — we pause the services you’re no longer using and your account continues at the new level. Either way, you’re never stuck in the wrong plan.

Do I get royalties from Amazon?

Brutal Guides™ are listed on Amazon under our imprint, but this system is designed for credibility and lead generation, not book sales. Most titles don’t generate meaningful royalties, and that’s by design — the value comes from leads, not $15 book sales.
That said, outliers can happen. If a title earns more than $1,000 USD in U.S. royalties in a calendar year, we’ll split the net royalties 50/50. If your main focus is royalty income, our sister company 90-Minute Books is the better fit.

Do I need to market the book myself?

It depends on your plan. Asset is plug-and-play: you handle the marketing. Engine adds funnel automation and follow-up so leads don’t slip away. Amplify is fully managed with campaigns run for you. Whichever you choose, the book is your most powerful lead-generation tool — we help with different levels of execution.

What if I already have a book?

That’s great. An existing book can complement your Brutal Guide™. We can reference it in your nurture content, or if it makes sense, adapt some of the content into the Brutal format for stronger positioning and lead generation. Many clients come to us after a traditional or ghostwritten book failed to deliver leads — the Brutal system fixes that.
